The Israeli Defense Forces, IDF, says Iran has launched more missiles at Israel.
IDF, which confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday, said defence systems are working to intercept the missiles.
According to the Israeli military, members of the public can leave protected spaces, having previously asked people to shelter if they received a warning alert.
Israeli media visuals showed damage in cities including Rosh Haayin and Ramat Hasharon, where emergency teams responded to multiple impact sites.
Sirens were also said to have sounded in southern areas like Eilat, though one missile reportedly struck an open area without casualties.
Israel had earlier warned Iranians to refrain from train transportation if they value their lives.
