War: Iran was going to attack US, Israel first – Trump

President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has insisted that Israel did not force US hand on the attack on Iran.

The president said that there was no pressure of any form leading to the conflict that has killed the military heads of Iran in their numbers.

Trump said that Iran was going to launch the first attack, a situation he said he did not want to happen.

US and Israel attacks on Iran over the weekend killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Khamenei died alongside his daughter, grandchild, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law were also killed in the strike.

The Israeli army said that Ali Shamkhani, a top advisor to Khamenei, and the head of Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guards, General Mohammad Pakpour, were also killed in the strikes.

US said that over 49 top officials of the Iranian military has been taken out so far.

“I think they were going to attack first, and I didn’t want that to happen,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday.

“So, if anything, I might have forced Israel’s hand. We were having negotiations with these lunatics, and it was my opinion that they [Iran] were going to attack first.”

Trump said America and Israeli strikes have had a “very powerful impact because virtually everything they have has been knocked out.”
