Iran has informed the United States that it is closely monitoring any troop deployments by the US to the Middle East.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who is the speaker of Iran’s parliament, posted this information on X on Wednesday.
He said that Iran is keeping a close eye on all the activities of the US in the region.
This comment was made after news came out that Washington intends to send 1,000 to 2000 more soldiers to the Middle East.
The translation of his post stated, “We are closely monitoring all US movements in the region, particularly troop deployments.
“What the generals have ruined, the soldiers can’t fix; instead, they will become victims of Netanyahu’s crazy ideas.
“Do not question our resolve to defend our land.”
This statement follows news from the Associated Press and the New York Times, that the US might send 1,000 to 2,000 soldiers to the Middle East, adding to the 50,000 troops already there.
According to the reports, approximately 4,500 marines are already en route to the region.
