Nottingham Forest’s head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has voiced worries about Ola Aina’s injury. Aina had to leave the field just before halftime during Forest’s 1-0 victory against Manchester United at the City Ground on Tuesday. He later recorded some of his teammates celebrating after the match, but crutches were seen near his spot in the dressing room. The Nigerian defender is now questionable for the Premier League game against Aston Villa on Saturday. “We need to evaluate the situation,” Nuno mentioned regarding Aina’s injury following the match. “It’s always worrying when a player gets hurt on their own, so we will conduct a scan to understand the extent of the injury.” When asked about a possible calf injury, Nuno responded, ‘I’m not entirely certain.’ I believe the scan will indicate precisely. The 28-year-old has played 30 league matches for Forest this season, scoring two goals. – By Adeboye Amosu
