A few days ago, Ghanaian humorous actor and singer, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, disclosed in a recent interview that he would divorce his wife if his mother asks him to. According to Lilwin, no matter how little he loves his wife, he may often take his mother’s mind if she ever asks him to divorce her. During the discussion, Lilwin explained that his mother played a vital role in his lifestyle. “ I owe my success and living to my mom. If she ever tells me my family is not good for me, I will trust her judgment, ” Lilwin said. Reacting to this, some folks asked Lilwin to go ahead and married his mom since he values her mind more that his wife’s individual. Reviewers argue that relationship is a relationship built on mutual respect and trust between two people and should not be subject to external influences, perhaps from home. Some have even alleged that he heeded his mother’s counsel to divorced his second partner in order to marry his current partner. “Marriage is about two persons; no one else should have the power to interfere so drastically, ” one user commented.
