Why security crisis remains unresolved – Delta elder, Chris Biose tackles Tinubu’s govt

Chairman of the Delta Obedient Elders Council, Chief Chris Biose has accused President Bola Tinubu-led administration of failing to recognize the enormity of the security crisis bedeviling the entire nation.. Biose, who is also a former Deputy Chairman of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), Edo State, spoke in an interview with Arise TV.. He lamented the recent wave of killings by the daredevil terrorists who have been on rampage across the country, stating that Nigerians have been denied their rights to life.. According to the elder statesman, the lingering security crisis in the country “is an institutional problem that is deep-rooted”, lamenting that the current administration failed to pay more attention to the menace.. He said, “The pathetic situation in Nigeria affecting human rights, particularly the right to life is that the authorities do not seem to recognize the enormity of the problems.. “I read a report recently where the Minister said there was no journalist in detention in the administration of President Bola Tinubu.. “Meanwhile, we know very well that everyday, people are being killed in every part of the country and those killing the innocent ones are not being called to book.. “Lives of Nigerian citizens are being squeezed out by non state agents and even state agents.. “It is an institutional problem that is deep-rooted and the surgical operation that is required in the security services, particularly the police and the military to solve these problems is not being addressed by the current administration”.
