RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons is targeting a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea emerging as his preferred destination, according to reports from Bild.
The 22-year-old Dutch midfielder is expected to leave Leipzig this summer, following the club’s failure to secure European qualification.
Simons, who registered 10 goals and seven assists in 25 Bundesliga appearances last season, is valued at around €70 million.
The hefty asking price could complicate negotiations, particularly for Barcelona, who have also held talks with the player’s camp, according to Diario Sport.
The midfielder’s new agent, Ali Bara, reportedly has strong ties to English football and intends to initiate discussions with Chelsea in the coming days.
