The official ceremony of passing over the post of Garde des Sceaux at the Ministry of Justice was held on Tuesday 16 September 2025 in Dakar. She has consecrated the departure of M. Ousmane Diagne, outgoing Minister, and the installation of Mme Yassine Fall, previously in charge of the Department of African Integration and Foreign Affairs. The meeting, which was held in closed session, took place in a cordial atmosphere. In his intervention, Mr. Ousmane Diagne welcomed the appointment of his successor and reaffirmed his availability to accompany him to ensure the continuity of the public service of justice. In her turn, Ms Yassine Fall took the floor and expressed her gratitude to the highest authorities of the State for the trust placed in her. It also reiterated its commitment to consolidate the acquis, pursue the reforms initiated and strengthen the effectiveness of the judicial system, in strict respect of the rule of law and at the service of citizens.
