Six individuals died, and 15 more were injured in a deadly late-night car accident on the Jajere-Potiskum road in Yobe State. The incident took place at approximately 8 p.m. Traders were making their way to Jajere in the Fune Local Government Area after finishing at the Potiskum Wednesday market. Some passengers who sustained serious injuries were transported to the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital in Damaturu for medical attention, while others with less severe injuries are being treated at the Potiskum Specialist Hospital. It was reported that staff from the Yobe State Emergency Ambulance Bus Service (YEMABUS) were present around 1 a.m. to offer emergency assistance and take the victims to Damaturu.
