Zéro Impunité: For an uncompromising justice against economic crimes by Pape Fara Ndiaye

It is imperative that the 15th legislature take up its responsibilities by proposing a law to criminalise economic and financial offences against public debtors. The people, victim of the excesses of certain leaders, can no longer tolerate this systemic impunity. Once in power, too many elected officials seized public resources for personal purposes, thereby diverting the State’s action from its fundamental objective: the service of the common good. Those responsible for these economic crimes, starting with Macky Sall and his accomplices, must answer for their actions before the courts, restore to the last cent the funds illicitly acquired and return to the people the lands spoliated. The adoption of a law making serious economic offences punishable by imprisonment in order to prevent the perpetrators from escaping justice in time. The strengthening of criminal sanctions against the perpetrators of embezzlement and corruption, with firm prison sentences and the confiscation of ill-gotten gains. The establishment of a special court dealing with economic and financial crimes, with rapid means of investigation and action. The time has come to put an end to the impunity of the corrupt elites and to render justice to the people. That’s enough! Pape Fara Ndiaye is the man.
