
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has vowed to deliver 85 percent votes for President Bola Tinubu in next yearās general elections.
Governor Fintiri made this vow on Wednesday when he paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda.
The visit comes shortly after Fintiriās defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC, along with his cabinet and a substantial portion of the stateās PDP structure.
During the meeting, the governor reiterated his full loyalty to the APC and pledged unwavering support for President Bola Tinubuās re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.
He emphasized that his move to the APC was a strategic decision aimed at strengthening the party, promoting national unity, ensuring long-term stability and development for Adamawa, and consolidating support for the presidentās Renewed Hope Agenda.
āI assure you that Adamawa State would deliver at least 85% of the votes for President Tinubu and the APC in the upcoming polls,ā he said.
Speaking, the APC National Chairman, welcomed the governorās assurances and highlighted the importance of such high-level defections in building a stronger, more unified party ahead of future elections.
