A legal practitioner and public policy analyst, Prof. Chris Nwakobia, has said that the opposition political parties cannot beat President Bola Tinubu when they are divided.
Nwakobia made this statement on Sunday during an interview on Arise Television.
He was reacting to the state of the opposition ahead of the 2027 general elections, after two former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso, defected from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
“Let me say without equivocation that I’m here to speak truth to power and speak truth to the opposition. And I want to say, without a provocation and without doubt that what is happening in our political Kaleidoscope is troubling.
“This is because historicity hasn’t favored what the opposition is doing today.
“I am beyond emotive predilections and emotional sentiments. If you truly feel that the APC hasn’t done well, what you must do is organise properly.
“An opposition fighting itself is coronating Bola Ahmed Tinubu for 2027. The time has come for lovers of this nation to bury individualism and ego for the nation’s betterment,” he said.
