The Chicago Justice Gallery at UIC will be hosting an event for the book “Liberation Stories,” featuring prominent communicators from the movement. This event, organized by the Social Justice Initiative at the University of Illinois Chicago and the Radical Communicators Network (RadComms), welcomes the public to engage in meaningful discussions to commemorate the book’s release (New Press, June 2025). Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from co-editors Shanelle Matthews and Marzena Zukowska, as well as contributing authors Rachel Jacoby, Tre Bosley, and Zaineb Mohammed. The conversation will be overseen by the distinguished Black queer feminist academic and activist Cathy J. Cohen. Here are the event details: DATE: July 7, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM.
