A police department in southern Ontario is currently dealing with a” digital incident” that it claims has had an impact on some of its IT systems. Authorities in Kingston claim a channel problem was discovered on Friday, leading to delays in their non-emergency functions. The Kingston agency’s ability to respond to crisis calling, according to Ontario Provincial Police, was no impacted. Kingston authorities claim to have notified the information and protection commissioner of the province and will follow their instructions when determining the nature of the incident and making necessary updates to the public.
