​Finale coupe du Sénégal de basket-ball féminin: El Malick Ndiaye has been named the best player of the tournament 

  This Saturday, 19 July, the President of the National Assembly had the honour of presiding over the final of the Senegalese Women’s Basketball Cup between DUC and ASC Ville de Dakar. By beating the DUC (61-55) in the final of the Coupe du Sénégal, ASC Ville de Dakar closed a simply remarkable season with four major trophies to its credit. The President of the National Assembly reaffirms his active support for the development of national sport, in particular women’s basketball, whose popularity and performances are constantly growing on the local and international scene. “My presence, alongside my colleagues, is a testimony to our commitment to women’s sport, a true vector of social cohesion and national pride. I warmly congratulate the ASC Ville de Dakar for its beautiful victory, and I address my encouragement to the Dakar Université Club, which is not at all demerited. The two teams offered us a spectacle of quality, performance, combativity and fair play, so many values that illustrate the importance of women’s basketball in the Senegalese sports landscape. I reaffirm my unwavering support to the athletes, and address all my wishes of success to our national team in view of the AfroBasket 2025 in Côte d’Ivoire”
