Nentawe Yilwatda, the newly appointed National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed his commitment to bring more state governors into the ruling party. He shared this during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday. Yilwatda also pledged to foster unity within the APC, emphasizing that he has a skilled team to support him in his efforts. He stated, “My role is to unify and grow the party.” We currently have 23 governors and the count is ongoing. My role involves attracting more governors. “Luckily, we have many seasoned former national party chairs present here. “Is it the ex-governor of Edo State, my direct successor, or the former governor of Nasarawa State? “Everyone is onboard… I’ve encountered previous governors and vice presidents, and the core team of the party remains unchanged. Just observe the demeanor of the President: he speaks softly, remains calm and gentle, yet he is steering the nation decisively, making difficult choices that many are hesitant to even address.”
