Le Tribunal de Grande Instance Hors Classe de Dakar a tranche en faveur de Cheikh Amar dans le litige foncier qui l’opposait à une association de résidents de la Cité Touba Almadies (The High Court of Justice in Dakar has ruled in favour of Cheikh Amar in the land dispute between him and an association of residents of the city of Touba Almadies, which is located in the province of Dakar). The decision, rendered en référé, dismissed the claims of the association which accused the businessman of plundering land and of breach of contractual obligations. The association had seized the court on 13 February 2025 to request the suspension of all activity (morcellement, alienation or construction) on the public spaces provided in the initial plan of the Cité Touba Almadies. These spaces include a school, a health post, a mosque, a Daara, des jardins et des places publiques. The association denounced an attempt at speculation by M. In particular, the alleged sale of the Daara terrain to a third party, Moustapha Diouf Lambaye. It also invoked the risk of disturbing public order.
