The judicial battle between Barthélémy Dias and the Senegalese justice has reached a new stage this Monday. The former mayor of Dakar had seized the Supreme Court to challenge an earlier decision related to a dispute involving the mairie de la capitale. According to Ordinance No 001/2025, signed by the Councillor Aïssatou Diallo Ba, the High Court had in a first instance authorised M. Dias to submit his request. The hearing scheduled for 25 August was to examine the admissibility and merits of the action. After the deliberations, the Cour suprême finally rejected the application lodged by the édile de Dakar. This decision thus put an end to the judicial procedure initiated by the elected official, who hoped to obtain a re-examination of the dossier concerning the municipality.
