The day of this Monday 8 September began under a capricious sky in several localities of the country. At Dakar, Mbour, Fatick and Cap-Skirring, the inhabitants were awakened by fine rains that fell intermittently in the morning, bringing a slight refreshment to the atmosphere. According to the meteorological forecasts valid until 18 hours, the weather will remain unstable over a large part of the territory. Thunderstorms accompanied by isolated rains are announced in the south of the country, notably in Ziguinchor, Sédhiou and Kolda.
