The President of the Republic Bassirou Diomaye Faye is expected in New York, this weekend, to take part in the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations which will be held from 21 to 26 September. For his second participation in this grand diplomatic world meeting, the Head of State will put forward three priorities: the fight against poverty, the reform of world governance and the defence of the rights of the Palestinian people. The general debate on this event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 23 September.
