Senegal receives its fourth aircraft L410NG in the Czech Republic to modernise its air fleet

Senegal continues the modernization of its national air fleet and received, this Tuesday in the Czech Republic, its fourth aircraft of the type L410NG. This acquisition, carried out by the Minister of Land and Air Transport, Yankoba Diémé, is part of the “Vision Senegal 2050” aimed at improving air connectivity and transport accessibility for all, particularly in remote regions. This fourth aircraft is part of an order of five new aircraft, adapted to difficult-to-access areas (two having already been delivered to Dakar and the last being under construction). Le Ministre Diémé welcomed the cooperation with Aircraft Industries, insisting on the transfer of competences and the respect of commitments. In this context, 35 Senegalese agents (15 technicians and 20 pilots) will benefit from a 45-day training period. Addressing the national strategy, the Minister reaffirmed the ambition of Senegal to become an air hub in West Africa, despite the challenges of Air Sénégal. He also mentioned progress in airport security and confirmed the country’s participation in the Dubai Airshow in November, where a potential contract with Boeing could consolidate its position in the regional airline sector.
