Le Collège d’Enseignement Moyen (CEM) de l’Unité 4 de Keur Massar Sud was baptised in the name of the Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, an initiative led by the municipal team directed by the mayor Mouhamed Bilal Diatta. The announcement was made official by the commune of Keur Massar Sud. The mayor, Mouhamed Bilal Diatta, a figure of local action, concretised this decision which aims to pay tribute to the Head of Government. This baptism is part of a vast program of the municipality which seeks to honor national and local personalities in their dedication of public infrastructures. L’École primaire de l’Unité 4 has for example been baptised Imam Alioune Badara Ndao, and other health centres have also received new names. According to the mairie, these initiatives have the sole purpose of instilling a sense of local pride and proposing models of engagement and citizenship to the inhabitants, especially the youth.
