The national secretary of the Party for the Patriotic Renaissance (PRP), Mactar Guissé, has been appointed after revelations about the hidden debt contracted under the old regime. In a particularly severe statement, he calls this situation “high treason against Macky Sall”, pointing to what he describes as a corrupt and opaque system of governance that has marked the years of power of the former head of state. “The announcement of the hidden debt must be considered as a high treason against Macky Sall”, says Mactar Guissé, estimating that the former president of Senegal “was accustomed to unhealthy practices with his men in all levels of his reign “… According to him, the disclosure of these irregularities was only possible thanks to the willingness of the new authorities to open the books of accounts. “Audits have had to be carried out to take account of existing practices”, he underlined. Mactar Guissé directly accuses the former head of state of having left a disastrous economic and moral legacy. “The true results on the behaviour of Macky Sall and his gang, some of whose pawns continue to exist around us, deserve deep reflection”, he declares, inviting society to “face them at all levels of the Republic “… For him, the current situation of the country is the direct consequence of past deviations: ” Macky Sall nous a légué plus de mal que de peur. This whole socio-economic situation is so difficult for us because of him. I’m not sure.
