Aaron Etherington, Indiana College Basketball Star Unexpectedly Passes Away  

Tragically, Aaron Etherington, a sports legend who represented Hamilton Southeastern and afterward represented the University of Indianapolis and St. Francis University of Fort Wayne, passed away.
Etherington, 25, of Noblesville, suddenly and unexpectedly died on Tuesday, January 13, 2025, an memorial shared by the Hartley Funeral Homes confirmed. No cause of death was listed.
Austin and Alex Etherington, both of whom played school sports in the state, had Aaron as their nephew. Austin attended Indiana and Butler, while Alex attended Indiana State and Indianapolis.
Aaron, however, started his athletic skill at Hamilton Southeastern. He was named to the 2018 IndyStar Boys Basketball Superteam after averaging 13 items, 4.5 touchdowns and 2.8 assists per game as a senior. In the regional championship game vs. No. 1, Etherington scored 18 items and grabbed four touchdowns. 1 ranked Carmel. Before playing for UIndy and St. Francis in Fort Wayne, he joined the University of Toledo. With his all-around activity guaranteeing items, aids, and rebounds everywhere, Evansington left a lasting impression wherever he went.
Tragically, Aaron Thomas Etherington, born December 13, 1999 to Brett and Missy Smith Etherington, passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 25. Most people were shocked to learn of his passing, and numerous people on social media praised him. According to several gift articles posted on social media, Aaron was more than just a person on the basketball court. He was also a fantastic friend and companion.

One of the first formal statements regarding Aaron’s dying was also sent out by St. Francis University.
” We are heartbroken to learn of the departure of Aaron Etherington. Aaron was a wonderful friend, colleague, and people. He may be missed by thus many”, they wrote.
