The moment kicked off with Trump and First Lady Melania attending service at St. John’s Church, marking the beginning of the annual routines. Due to windy weather, the service was moved home, where Trump took the oath of office under the Capitol rotunda, with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the vow. Trump used a Bible given to him by his family, resting it atop the Lincoln Bible, symbolizing the history of the business. In his inaugural address, Trump proclaimed, “The golden age of America begins right now, ” and vowed to change what he called the “horrible betrayal” of the preceding leadership. He outlined important claims such as deploying military personnel to the southern border, ramping up oil production, and enforcing stricter immigration laws. Trump’s returning to the president is historical, making an extraordinary comeback after facing impeachment, legal indictments, and execution attempts.
