My Government Will Not Tolerate Arrogance Or Disrespect Toward The People Who Elected Us – Mahama Warns Newly Sworn-In Ministers  

President John Dramani Mahama has issued a harsh warning to his just sworn-in officials, making it clear that pride and contempt toward Ghanaians will not be tolerated under his supervision. Speaking at the Jubilee House on January 22, 2025, during the swearing-in meeting of six governmental officials, the President emphasized that public servants may result with humility and responsibilities. “We had exhibit compassion for their opinions and work to meet their aspirations. This government does not tolerate pride or contempt for the people who elected us into business. Modesty and caution must be the guiding principles upon which you, myself, and our Vice President style our management, ” he declared. President Mahama reminded the nominees that their power comes from the people and urged them to promote the needs and aspirations of Citizens. “As I pointed out during my annual speech, Citizens have, through their seats, declared their intention to desire the highest standards of leadership, and we cannot afford to fail them, ” he said. The President also stressed the importance of transparency and fairness in their interactions, warning that anti-corruption organizations would be empowered to research and taking action against any wrongdoing. “The persons of Ghana did hold us accountable for the confidence they have placed in our fingertips. It cannot be business as usual. We must be transparent and fair in all our dealings, ” he added. Watch the video below. .
