In detention since December 2023, Ndella Madior Diouf was granted a provisional liberty to attend the funeral of his father on Friday. L’Observateur reports that the announcement of the death, which occurred in the night of 22 to 23 January 2025 at the age of 86, prompted the former director of the pouponnière ” Keur Yeurmandé ” to immediately mobilize her lawyers in order to file a new request for provisional release, which was finally accepted after several previous rejections. However, this provisional liberty, granted within a strict framework, was subject to restrictions. Thus, Ndella was not authorized to spend the night with his family and had to return to his cell every evening. She will return to detention this Saturday, the date corresponding to the third day of mourning. “Ndella is deeply affected”, confides a close source. “She lives very badly the fact that the death of her father has found her in prison. ” This situation intervenes as she faces serious accusations, including the death of several babies in her pouponnière, supposedly due to ill-treatment, followed by their inhumation without authorisation.
