Olatunji has performed well this season, scoring four goals and making two assists in 14 UEFA Champions League matches, including qualifiers. He has faced teams like Inter Milan, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen, experiences that have increased his confidence as a player. The 25-year-old has also netted six goals in 19 matches in the Czech Chance Liga, helping his team hold a third-place position. In a recent interview from the Czech Republic, he discussed his aspirations for the Super Eagles, highlighting his current good form and readiness for the chance to represent Nigeria. Olatunji stated that receiving a call-up from the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe would be a dream come true. “I believe I have the ability to show my talent in the Super Eagles jersey, though I am not pressuring myself onto the team,” he commented. “I feel prepared to help inspire the Super Eagles to achieve greater success.” I trust that the coach has a strategy in mind, and if I get the chance to be part of his team, I will make Nigerians proud. I feel that my experience with Sparta Prague, the champions of the Czech league, has prepared me well.
