A vivid panic gripped the village of Farading, in the Saraya department, on Sunday 9 February. Armed bandits have broken into the neighbouring Malian village of Makofé to rob a Chinese company, sowing terror among the inhabitants. According to information relayed by Sud FM, a group of three armed men stormed the company, neutralizing the guard and seizing his weapon before fleeing with several valuables. This attack has reinforced the climate of insecurity in the region, where the populations fear a recrudescence of criminal acts.
