Arsenal announced on Wednesday, “Ethan Nwaneri has been selected by our fans as the men’s Player of the Month for February after winning our poll.” The 17-year-old’s impressive season has led to him receiving his first award, garnering 54% of the votes to triumph over Gabriel, Mikel Merino, and Jurrien Timber. Nwaneri kicked off the month with an incredible goal during our memorable 5-1 win against Manchester City, skillfully bending the ball around Stefan Ortega for a perfect finish at the end of the match. In only his fourth start in the Premier League, he achieved his first assist for the first team with a wonderful cross that Merino headed in at Leicester, helping us secure an important win. After scoring against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday, Ethan now has a total of eight goals this season, with only Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney having netted more for Premier League teams before reaching the age of 18.
