Caretaker committee hails defection of two Imo Reps to APPĀ 

The Ernest Njesi-led Interim Caretaker Committee of the Action Peoples Party, APP, in Imo State, has commended Ugochinyere Ikenga, the member representing Ideato North and ldeato South Federal Constituency, and his Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal counterpart, Matthew Nwogu, for officially defecting to the Party.

The two federal lawmakers formally announced their move yesterday on the floor of the House of Representatives.

The party said their defection reflects the deep yearning and aspirations of the people of Imo State for a government that works for all and sundry, irrespective of political affiliation, senatorial zone, or background.

It stated that Ikenga Ugochinyere and Matthew Nwogu have shown exemplary leadership by responding to the demands of their constituents who have long desired a credible, inclusive, and development-driven political alternative.
