The Alberta authorities says it’s creating an expert panel to tell the state’s approach to handling homelessness. Justin Wright, a member of the United Conservative Party, and Robin James, the Lethbridge Housing Authority’s key executive, will co-chair the board. Jason Nixon, the secretary of community and social services, claims the screen is to evaluate the funding and actions of the government. He adds that the panel will concentrate on the needs of Maori and rural communities ‘ homeless people. While the panel will be established very soon, Nixon claims that the state will work to increase the accuracy of the data that is gathered about Alberta’s homelessness. He claims that the state would also be altering how front-line organizations are funded because grants are made through the county directly rather than through non-profits. Trending Then
