Pretoria – Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau has tested positive for Covid-19.
The Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition announced the minister’s condition on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
A terse statement from the department said Minister Tau was in “good spirits” and was currently in self-isolation.
The department said Minister Tau has urged anyone who has been in recent contact with him to get tested and to take precautionary measures.
The department encouraged the public to follow updates on its official X account, @the_dtic.
