OCJ Warns Public About Someone Pretending To Be Acting Judge President Nhlangulela 

Pretoria – The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) has warned the public against falling prey to an individual impersonating Acting Judge President Zamani Nhlangulela of the Eastern Cape.

“It has come to the attention of the  OCJ that there is an individual impersonating Acting Judge President Zamani Nhlangulela, Acting Judge President of the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court,” the OCJ said on Sunday, 23 August 2026.

“According to the information available to the OCJ, the individual/s sent WhatsApp messages purporting to be from Acting Judge President Nhlangulela, using a profile picture of his likeness.

“The mobile number from which the message came is 072 910 6073 and is registered on WhatsApp as belonging to ‘Acting Judge President Zamani Nhlangulela’.”

The OCJ warned the public not to fall prey to this impersonator and to be aware that misrepresenting a state of affairs, knowing that it is not true, to the prejudice of someone else is fraud.

“The matter will be reported to the relevant authorities for further handling,” stated the OCJ.
