​Iwobi Selected for Fulham’s Goal of the Month Award    

 

According to Completesports, Nigeria’s midfielder Alex Iwobi is a contender for Fulham’s Goal of the Month award for April. Iwobi’s excellent goal during Fulham’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Craven Cottage was nominated as one of six contenders. The 29-year-old advanced into the Chelsea penalty area after Reece James lost possession and skillfully placed the ball past Robert Sanchez in the 20th minute. Additionally, Kano Pillars have announced Musa’s call-up to the Super Eagles for the Unity Cup. Chelsea made a comeback with two goals scored late in the game by Tyrique George and Pedro Neto. Iwobi has scored nine goals in 35 league matches this season for Marco Silva’s team. Additionally, Nigeria-born midfielder Chibuzo Nwoko is nominated for his goal in Everton’s U-21 match against Nottingham Forest on April 28.
