The Cour suprême has ruled on Thursday 3 July 2025 on the appeal lodged by Saliou Samb. In its judgment, the Court annulled all the decisions taken in the first instance and on appeal in the case between the former Senegalese international, Ferdinand Coly à Saliou Samb, président du Conseil départemental de Mbour. Seyni Dione, the lawyer for Saliou Samb, welcomed the verdict: “Today, the supreme court has statue et a cassé l’arrêt sans renvoi. The Advocate General relied on Article 5 of the UEMOA Regulation which obliges investigators to notify a person who is being prosecuted of his right to be assisted by a lawyer. Which has not been the case. M. and I was auditioned without a counselor.
