AFCON 2025: Adepoju Believes Super Eagles Have the Potential to Secure Their Fourth Title in Morocco

Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju believes the team has the potential to secure their fourth title at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The Eagles narrowly lost 2-1 to Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the previous tournament. Under the leadership of Eric Chelle, they aim to improve on that performance in Morocco 2025. Adepoju is confident that the West African team can achieve this, citing the skill level of the players, their recent near-success at AFCON, and their impressive performances with European clubs. “Considering the quality of our players and their recent performances, I am optimistic that we have a competitive team that can potentially win the trophy for the fourth time in Morocco,” the former Sociedad player stated in an interview with thenff. The Super Eagles are set to compete against Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles, Uganda’s Cranes, and Tanzania’s Taifa Stars in Group C. They will begin their campaign with a match against Tanzania.
