A Molotov cocktail was thrown through the windows of a temple in southwest Calgary on January 9, 2025, prompting the Calgary police to launch an investigation. Authorities say they were called out reviews of a fireplace at 4: 35 a. m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 10923 24 St. S. W. When they arrived on scene they discovered a Molotov cocktail had been thrown through a glass of the building. Fortunately, firefighters were able to immediately extinguish the fire.
