The good news seems to illuminate the days of the patriots, and particularly their leader, Ousmane Sonko. In a gesture of symbolism and respect, the President Bassirou Diomaye Faye decided to pay tribute to Sonko’s mother by giving her name to his daughter, born to his second wife, Absa Faye.. In a reaction shared with emotion on Facebook, Ousmane Sonko expressed his gratitude: “I thank from the bottom of my heart his Excellency, my brother and friend Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, for this unique honor he has bestowed on me, my family and all the patriots… Long and happy life to the little Khady Mossane FAYE”.
