Provocative Ghanaian media personality Captain Smart’s recent notes about singer Becca have sparked controversy because he claims that excessive body bleaching has affected her voice and skill.
During his day display on Onua TV, Captain Smart openly criticised Becca’s change, questioning why she, once known for her dark complexion, has become considerably lighter.
” I don’t know why Becca, who was dark-skinned, do bleach her body to this level. It has also affected her talent—she didn’t speak again”, he stated.
Beyond Becca, Captain Smart also used the opportunity to warn women who had Brazilian Butt Lift ( BBL ) procedures, warning that men should not marry such women but rather to start dating them before moving on. Instead of modifying their systems to meet societal trends, he advised younger women to accept their natural beauty.
Some people have criticized him for body-shaming and making unsupported claims about Becca’s vocal skills, while others have agreed that abnormal aesthetic modifications can have unforeseen consequences.
Becca, known for her hit songs and extraordinary audio job, has yet to respond to these comments. Becca has huge refuted claims that she had her body bleached. When confronted about the issue, she maintains that her lighter tone is simply the result of the filters being used to capture photos of her phone.
