Samba Kâ, a famous tap dancer nicknamed “Rang mou gaw”, was arrested by the police of Linguère. He was the mastermind of a gang that had carried out three armed robberies in the Linguère-Thiès area in recent months. Already convicted for similar offences, he would therefore be a repeat offender. Samba Kâ was arrested as part of the investigation into a robbery at a Linguère money transfer point on the night of 8 to 9 September. The police investigations have allowed the arrests, d’abord, of M. Diop, a vigilante domiciled in the village of Kataly, et de Y. Bâ, a shepherd established in Ndioubal.. The premier denied having taken part in the Linguère robbery, but admitted having participated in the restaurant robbery and the Awa in Kataly. He will reveal the names of nine alleged accomplices and that of a tenth, who would be linked to the attack on Linguère. L’Observateur, which reveals this affair in its edition of this Wednesday, reports that Diop has affirmed that Samba Kâ is the brain of the gang that perpetrated the various robberies. Following this lead and aided by the video surveillance images captured at the crime scene, the journal informs, the investigators will get their hands on four other suspects whose notorious tape… “In addition to the Linguère robbery, Samba Kâ was sought following some offensive remarks made on social networks against the Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko”, L’Observateur added.
