On Friday, South Korean lawmakers impeached acting President Han Duck-soo. The announcement was made by National Assembly Speaker, Woo Won-shik, who stated that the acting president was actively involved in the insurrection following his predecessor’s declaration of martial law earlier this month. “I declare that the impeachment motion against Prime Minister Han Duck-soo has been approved,” he said. “Won-shik stated that all 192 lawmakers who participated in the vote chose to impeach.
