  Faced with a critical financial situation inherited from the previous regime, the Senegalese government announced a series of adjustment measures aimed at restoring public finances while protecting vulnerable populations. These strategic decisions are aimed at restoring budgetary balance and ensuring a more equitable management of State resources. Following the publication of a damning report by the Court of Auditors, revealing poor financial management under the regime of former President Macky Sall, the current government is undertaking reforms to redress the situation and create room for manoeuvre in favour of the Senegalese people.
