Six weeks before the next African Cup of Nations, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the official ball of the competition. It is called “Itri” in homage to Moroccan mosaics and incorporates the latest technology from PUMA. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has given a new impetus to the wait around the CAN 2025 (21 décembre 2025 18 janvier 2026).. In a communiqué published on Monday 10 November, the body presented the balloon which will be used on Moroccan lawns: ” Itri “, designed in collaboration with the equipment manufacturer PUMA. The name “Itri”, which means “star” in Amazigh, is heavy with meaning. It makes direct reference to the star on the Moroccan national flag and to the star patterns found in traditional local art. According to the CAF, this ball is a true fusion between culture and performance.
