La Division spéciale de cybersécurité (DSC) has summoned the columnist Mamadou Sy Tounkara to the scene. He is expected this Tuesday morning, to explain one of his recent statements where he affirmed that a proposition de loi criminalisant l’homosexualité aurait été rejetée par le bureau de l’Assemblée nationale. These proposals provoked a strong reaction from the ruling Pastef MP, Amadou Ba, who denied these claims, accusing the columnist of spreading “fake news” likely to disturb public order. Amadou Ba added that the declarations of Mamadou Sy Tounkara are dangerous in the current social context of Senegal.
