Demehin praises Ayinde as the Silent Pistol of the Super Falcons.

Oluwatosin Demehin, a center-back for the Super Falcons, referred to Halimatu Ayinde as the team’s ‘silent pistol’ during their journey to winning the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Ayinde played a crucial role in the midfield, managing the game’s tempo and fortifying the defense. She has participated in five WAFCON tournaments, securing victory in four of them. In response to her post on X, Demehin referred to the Super Falcons player as a “silent pistol” and a “midfield maestro.” Demehin discussed the VAR debate that arose during the final of this year’s Women’s African Cup of Nations. “I felt frightened, but I was confident that it wasn’t a penalty. The ball hit my hand, true, but given my position, it wasn’t unnatural.”
