He reassured that “democracy and effective governance will soon be restored in the state, with both branches collaborating for the benefit of the community.” On Thursday, during a gathering with leaders and members of the Simplified Movement, the governor addressed them as part of his two-year anniversary in office for Rivers State. Fubara expressed confidence, stating, “I want to assure you that the problems will be settled soon, allowing you to resume your roles, not only in the Executive branch but also in the Legislative branch. I also trust that the strong relationships we previously enjoyed will be rekindled, enabling us to collaborate once more for the benefit and advancement of the state.” “What matters is that we possess a spirit of forgiveness.” Fubara called on the residents of Rivers State to recognize the President’s efforts in addressing the political turmoil, which he noted could have escalated.
