Ghanaian Child In Viral Crying-Laughing Meme Reportedly Sick, Family Begs for Financial Aid in Video

A Ghanaian child at the centre of one of the most popular social media memes in which a child is seen crying and laughing almost instantaneously has reportedly fallen ill and is in need of financial assistance.

In a video sighted by GhanaCelebrities.Com, a Ghanaian blogger, identified as Nana Baffour, revealed that the child, who is much older now, is suffering from an undisclosed condition.

Nana Baffour, seeking to garner help for the family, revealed he is filming from the very home where the world-famous meme was recorded.

In the presence of the child and his grandmother, Baffour revealed that despite the fame, the family lives a difficult life especially since the young child fell ill.

The ‘meme-boy’ was spotted in the video with certain marks on his body. The exact cause of his condition is unknown.

Baffour called for all well-meaning individuals, both from Ghana and abroad, to come to the aid of the family. He noted that the young boy has brought joy to many people and tons of revenue to many creators who freely use his meme.

On social media, users were stunned at the current condition of the young boy with many pledging to help. Others called for Baffour to record in English next time so that Nigerians and creators from other countries can understand what is going on and provide help. Baffour was also asked to give more details on the boy’s illness so more specific help could be provided.
