Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, is set to swear in five commissioner-designates who have been screened and confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
The swearing-in ceremony will hold at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, at 1:00 pm.
The nominees are Mr Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor, Mr Lekue Kenneth, and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
In a statement signed on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Dagogo Wokoma, the commissioner-designates, and their one guest each, are expected to be seated by 12:30 pm.
DAILY POST recalls that on Monday, the Assembly stepped down four of the nine nominees initially sent by the governor for screening and confirmation.
