Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the secretary for international affairs and regional integration, has refuted all speculations that the vice chairman, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, is in good health and will quickly return to work.
The Member of Parliament for North Tongu said he has been in touch with the Vice President and is convinced that she is well on her way to recovery while visiting Nigeria and meeting with some users of the Ghanaian community.
Ablakwa urged Ghanaians to dismiss the slew of Psc advertising claims that she is seriously ill or even on her deathbed. While a well-known NPP officer, like Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, claimed the Veep had a stroke, some go as far as to say that the Vice President is deceased.
Ablakwa dispelled all of these and declared that the vice chairman was well and good. He thanked Nigerians for their support of the vice president, saying it had aided in getting her back to help.
The 73-year-old Vice President of Ghana fell poor shortly after a day of work. Based on professional medical advice, she was transported to the University of Ghana Medical Center ( UGMC) for treatment and later to another country for treatment.
